FTIR spectrometer Bruker Vertex 80v with a measurement range of 10 – 50,000 cm-1 is placed at the building of Institute of Measurements SAS. The VERTEX 80v has an evacuated optics bench that can eliminate atmospheric moisture absorptions for ultimate sensitivity and stability. The device includes 8 detectors (including a bolometer), 5 beamsplitters and 4 lamps, the various combinations of which enable a wide measurement range from the FIR region to the UV region. The device also enables different measurement modes, which provide measurement units – transmission, reflection, ATR (Attenuated Total Reflection), spherical and transmission-reflection. FTIR can be connected to a cryostat that allows to cool the sample to liquid helium temperature ~ 4K. We can measure samples in the form of films, powders and liquids. Powders and liquids can be measured using an ATR unit in the range of 10 – 10,000 cm-1 without vacuum.
