Between June 15–18, 2025, the 13th edition of the international conference Advances in Electronic and Photonic Technologies (ADEPT 2025) took place in Podbanské. The conference is organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Žilina, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of STU in Bratislava, in cooperation with the Institute of Electrical Engineering of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
As is tradition, the conference included a student competition. This year, our institute was represented by four PhD students and one Master’s student.
The main prize in the competition was awarded to Timea Krajčovičová from the Department of Microelectronics and Sensors for her talk Influence of reduced graphene oxide on the growth of PtSe2 few-layer films.
Honorable mentions were awarded to:
- Hemendra Chouhan (Department of III-V Semiconductors) for the presentation Origin of enhanced crystal quality of (-201) β-Ga2O3 on off-cut sapphire substrate using liquid injection-MOCVD, and
- Natália Calvo (Department of Physics and Technology at Nanoscale) for the talk Memristor Technology for Neural Network Hardware Synapses.
We warmly congratulate our students.
