The Institute of Electrical Engineering of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (IEE SAS) offers student jobs and is looking for skilled individuals for the following positions:
- Preparation and characterization of 2D materials, data evaluation
- Preparation and characterization of transition metal telluride thin films
- Optimization of graphene layer deposition on substrates for electrically conductive transparent films
- Electrical characterization of InN-based heterostructures using the Hall method
- Fabrication and measurement of microelectronic components based on wide bandgap semiconductors – become part of next-generation chip development for a low-carbon future
- Assembly of an experimental vacuum mini-ALD reactor – this LEGO-like project will teach you about vacuum, electronics, and nanotechnology
- Electrical characterization of diode semiconductor structures and basic data evaluation
- Sample characterization using a scanning electron microscope: Want to join a team working on developing new devices using cutting-edge nanotechnologies? Come learn how to work with state-of-the-art microscopes that let you explore the secrets of the nanoscale world.
Requirements:
- University student in a technical field (electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, etc.) – suitable for both lower and upper-year students (Bachelor’s, Master’s)
- Also suitable for recent graduates
- Willingness to learn new things, motivation, ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Active knowledge of English is an advantage
Benefits:
- Part-time job, one day per week, with the possibility to increase workload upon agreement
